How does GREENMAX, the recycling specialist, recycle polyethylene foam?

As a polyethylene recycling company, GREENMAX offers a solution to this problem. Currently, the recycling rate of PE foam (EPE) is generally very low worldwide and there are few PE foam recycling companies. Conventional recycling methods such as landfill and incineration are to some extent causing environmental pollution. In order to solve this problem, compaction or hot fusion of PE foam is necessary. GREENMAX Recycling has been an expert in PE recycling for many years.

Polyethylene recycling process

Due to the large volume and bulk of PE, it requires large storage space, is difficult to transport and is difficult to recycle. In order to save on recycling costs, GREENMAX has produced the polyethylene recycling machine to recycle PE.

1 Polyethylene compactor (ZEUS series)

The Polyethylene compactor crushes the foam as much as possible. At the same time, the machine compacts the remaining expanded polyethylene under great pressure. The surface of the compacted block forms a hot-melt film for easy transport, which effectively prevents the polyethylene foam from springing back to form.

2. Polyethylene densifier (MARS series)

The Polyethylene densifier crushes the remaining PE foam into pieces. The remaining PE foam is crushed, hot-melted and extruded into dense ingots, which saves storage space and transport costs.

Tip: EPE (Expanded Polyethylene), also known as PE foam, is a recyclable and environmentally friendly foaming material. The versatile physical properties of polyethylene foam open up new possibilities for weight reduction and energy saving. It can be used in packaging, construction, electrical engineering and many other areas.

Nefan, based in Sweden, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of transport packaging. It has manufacturing plants in many European countries and provides transport packaging solutions to customers in the vicinity. the main source of PE packaging material is Jiffy in Poland, which produces a high amount of PE waste. This waste can be brought to Poland for reuse, but transport costs are high. Based on Jiffy's own successful experience with the GREENMAX Z-C200 application, they purchased a GREENMAX Z-C100 polyethylene compactor and applied it to their plant. The PE blocks formed after processing the GREENMAX polyethylene compactor will be shipped back to Poland for a second production run.

GREENMAX has been working in this field for decades and has helped many companies like Nefan to solve their polyethylene recycling problems and bring in a lot of profit - a win-win solution.
