The fifth edition of Foam Expo will be back in Novi, Michigan at the end of this month. The fair will take place over three days from 28 to 30 June. Mars series foam densifier

The Mars series foam densifier has the highest compression ratio of any GREENMAX foam recycling machine at 90:1. This machine uses hot melt technology and is compatible with compressing all kinds of foam scrap such as EPS, XPS, EPE, EPP etc., effectively saving space and transport costs for foam scrap. The waste foam is first crushed into small pieces in the crushing chamber of the foam compactor, then heated and melted by the hot melt technology and extruded with a screw to form dense foam ingots.

Zeus series foam compactor

The Zeus series is one of the more popular foam compactors of recent years. One of the most unusual aspects of the Zeus range is that, in addition to being able to process EPS fish boxes with moisture, for which the normal cold compaction technology is well suited to recycling, it is also suitable for recycling highly elastic and rigid foams such as EPE and EPP, which are difficult to recover with normal recycling equipment.

Cold compaction technology is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly compared to hot melt technology and is more in line with the contemporary circular economy. As the waste foam is crushed into small pieces through the shredding chamber and then physically squeezed into foam blocks by a screw conveyor, the Zeus range of foam compactors are equipped with a hot melt ring at the outlet to heat and melt the blocks on the surface, making the waste foam stronger and less likely to fall apart.
